Forest Lake 2

February 13, 2009: Back at Forest Lake in Denton. This time, I walked the rest of the trail, all the way to the other side of the lake. I found a rocky outcropping that the trail opened up onto and fished there for a few minutes. There were two guys in a pickup truck on the other side of the lake (which is weird because the northwest corner of the lake is a retirement home and there are no cars allowed over there. Anyway I watched those guys and they pulled in a few good sized fish, so after they left I headed on over to their spot. I saw lots of swirls near the weeds so I got out the AbuMatic and a green and chartreuse Road Runner. After about 6 tosses, BAM! got one. Pulled out yet another small LMB. This one, like the one from the other day, was brown on top. I wonder if it's just from their environment or what that causes the color variations in these fish? But any now I'm 2 for 2 at forest Lake, so its my new favorite spot. Here are some pretty pictures of it!
